The Opportunity
We're hiring! Our team of Employment Rights Lawyers are looking to add to their team based in London, on a hybrid working basis. To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Lawyer, at least 3 years PQE, well versed in managing a full caseload of employment advice and/or representation matters.
More about the role
You'll be managing your own cases from start to finish, including unfair dismissal and discrimination claims.
Manage some more complicated matters (e.g. complex discrimination/trade union detriment / inducement and TUPE) under supervision (as appropriate)
Take appropriate daily decisions involving considerable exercise of judgment.
Undertake advocacy in the Employment Tribunal (ET), including preliminary hearings and where necessary may be required to carry out advocacy in full hearings up to 2 days.
Work as part of a wider team, carrying out work on other team members’ cases as required.
A bit about you
The ideal candidate will be able to display the following:
A sound theoretical knowledge of the work and an ability to conduct cases from beginning to end.
Good knowledge of Employment Tribunal (ET) and Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT), rules on evidence, litigation process and funding – as applicable.
Have solid experience usually gained over 3 years (or more) of handling a full caseload.
Effective, clear and concise communication skills.
